Color Cloud honored as best cloud-based workflow solution
Hainburg, Germany (January 31, 2022) – In a huge virtual ceremony with participants from numerous different countries, the European Digital Print Awards 2021 were presented today. Color Cloud from CGS ORIS was recognized as the best cloud-based workflow solution.
The technical expert committee highlighted that the Color Cloud “is an important step on the path to an accurate cloud-based color workflow” and honored as well the CxF Toolbox which makes it easy to generate, manage and optimize CxF data (the full report is available on edp-awards.org).
"We are extremely pleased that the EDP jury awarded Color Cloud and thus our vision of digital, globally networked color management. With this tool, working with colors can be further optimized and made more efficient for several players in the printing and packaging industry. The ideal basis for achieving consistent brand colors regardless where or with which devices printing is conducted," says Bernd Rückert, CEO of CGS ORIS.
With the Color Cloud, the internal exchange, as well as the external communication of brand colors, becomes more precise, easier, and faster – and, of course, still remains secure.
Selected individuals and partners throughout the entire supply chain gain uncomplicated access to all color values that are relevant to them and, above all, always up-to-date.
A central solution for global color consistency.

The EDP Association and its awards
The EDP Awards are the only technology competition in the industry throughout Europe. The association behind it was founded over ten years ago by six magazines focusing on digital technologies. Today, its members include more than 20 leading European trade magazines with an editorial focus on the digital print process. They cover more than 25 countries and reach more than half a million readers with their printed editions.
The annual highlight of the activities is the presentation of the popular EDP Awards, with which EDP members recognize the latest technologies and product developments in categories such as hardware and software, large/wide format printing, commercial printing, industrial solutions, finishing and finishing, and consumables.
The aim is to support users in finding the right solutions for their daily challenges, to offer them orientation, and to provide a neutral recommendation for purchasing decisions.
The degree of innovation, quality, performance, and cost are the decisive factors in evaluating the solutions submitted. "It's about technical criteria, not popularity," classifies Klaus-Peter Nicolay, President of the EDP Association. Therefore, public votes are not included. "This is the only way the EDP Association can guarantee that the best products are selected in each case and that manufacturers' achievements in the development of new technologies are honored," Nicolay continues.
All participating products and results of this year's EDP Awards, along with comments from the jury, will be published in detail in the EDP Report: https://edp-award.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Report_2021.pdf
