ORIS Works 4.8.17 - Hotfixes ____________________________ [Microsoft Edge Download Warning] When downloading a hotfix from the CGS ORIS website, Microsoft Edge may display the following warning: " isn't commonly downloaded. Make sure you trust before you open it." This warning is generated by Microsoft Defender SmartScreen and is based on the file's current reputation. It does not indicate that the file contains malware. The warning commonly appears for newly released, recently updated, or not yet widely distributed files. To allow the download and confirm the file as safe, follow these steps: 1. Move the cursor over the download warning in Edge. 2. Click the "..." (More actions) button. 3. Select "Report this file as safe". 4. Choose "I think this is a safe website". 5. Complete the CAPTCHA verification. 6. Click "Submit" to send feedback to Microsoft. 7. Click the Downloads icon in Edge. 8. Move the cursor over the download warning again. 9. Click "..." again and select "Keep". 10. In the confirmation dialog, select "Keep anyway" from the menu of the "Delete" button. 11. If a Windows installation warning appears, click "More information" and then select "Run anyway". [Installation] Certain programs may block the installation process. The process pauses after extracting the installation files. In this case proceed as follows: 1. Exit antivirus program. 2. If the current version of Adobe Creative Cloud is installed, exit the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app. Do this by selecting 'File -> Exit Creative Cloud', then click 'Quit' to stop all background processes. 3. Start Windows Task Manager and click the 'Details' tab. Right-click 'Setup.exe' and select 'Analyze wait chain'. The process listed under 'Setup.exe' is blocking the installation. Select and end it.
